In winter 2006 this site was weedy and needed stabilisation because of tunnel erosion.
After spraying the weeds the site was sown and covered with jute mat.
Shortly after the jute mat was burned by vandals and the site was left with no maintenance.
By summer 2009 the site looks suprisingly good. This wasn't expected though and it is recommended that direct seeding sites be maintained regularly for the best results.
